Dirk Zimmermann has a degree in mechanical engineering and a degree on industrial engineering and management from University of Siegen.

Dirk started his professional life in manufacturing management consulting at PriceWaterhouse and soon was hired by Werner&Pfleiderer which later became today’s Coperion. That’s were he had his first contacts with extruders.

After some years in plastics injection moulding, he moved back to the business field of twinscrew co-rotating extruders. Since then, he started to specialize in screw segments, barrels and shafts for the compounding industry.

In 2006, Dirk and his partner started „Extruder Experts“, which soon became a well-known specialist for spareparts.

Based on the key success-factors like in-depth knowledge of metallurgy, brought portfolio of parts, know-how about screw configurations and process technology and a very quick reaction time towards customers, Extruder Experts became a rapidly growing partner for the compounding industry.
