Jakub Olsan is currently a Senior Researcher at ORLEN Unipetrol RPA plant in Brno, Czech Republic. The plant is specialized R&D center for polymers for ORLEN Unipetrol in Czechia and PKN ORLEN in Poland and has also a small scale production of color, UV, additive and other masterbatches.

Jakub is in Unipetrol for 6 years and his main scopes are following: Head of Chezacarb Carbon Black R&D (innovations, applications, compounding into polymers), Rheological analysis and measurements, Customer and technical service and support for ORLEN Unipetrol’s PP and HDPE and small scale masterbatches.

He studied at Brno University of Technology at Faculty of Chemistry. The scope was on material science, polymers and composites. During his studies, Jakub was part of the research team for research of biodegradable polymers, mainly PHB and polymer blends of PP with PA 6.
