Exhibitor Interview: Grupa Azoty Polyolefins

We recently interviewed Grupa Azoty Polyolefins, a leading polyolefin manufacturer and part of Grupa Azoty, a major chemical company in Poland and Europe.

As they prepare to showcase their products at the Compounding World Expo, we discussed their company, innovative offerings, and the industry trends shaping their market.


Can you provide a brief overview of your company and the products/services you'll be showcasing at the event?

Grupa Azoty Polyolefins is a part of Grupa Azoty - one of the largest chemical companies in Poland and Europe. We create the Polyolefin segment - a business unit specialised in the production of polypropylene.

Our integrated complex, located in Police, Poland includes: an offshore gas terminal, a PDH installation that produces propylene with a capacity of 429 kt/a, a PP installation with the capacity of 437 kt/a in a wide range of polypropylene types (homopolymers, impact copolymers and random copolymers) and state-of-the-art logistics infrastructure that provides a storage, logistics and shipping area for polypropylene.

Our polypropylene GRYFILEN® can be used in the wide variety of applications, offering converters high-quality and safe material for their processing technology needs.

 

What recent trends or developments in the industry are you most excited about, and how do your products/services align with them?

Sustainability and circular economy are the most important principles in plastics industry nowadays. Converters are interested in products that can be recycled or already includes recycled materials.

As a part of plastics industry, we are working on solutions that will meet our Clients’ needs in circularity and sustainability products.

 

Could you share a success story or case study demonstrating how your products/services have benefited a customer?

From our production start Grupa Azoty Polyolefins delivers products at the same level of performance as competitors that are operating since decades in the market. That demonstrates that our customers can rely on the quality of our products without making any compromises.

 

Will you be conducting any demonstrations or interactive activities at the event? If so, what can attendees expect?

We will be presenting our polypropylene GRYFILEN® portfolio designed for a wide range of applications. Our team is open to talk about innovative solutions that will meet the Clients’ requirements.

 

What are your company's goals for the future, and how do you see yourselves contributing to the evolving industry landscape?

Our goal is to become a leading supplier of the highest quality polypropylene in our region. An important element of our development is the implementation of “Green Azoty “ Strategy until 2030. As one of the biggest PP suppliers in Central Europe we would like to have an impact on changing environment and be important part of plastics industry in our region.


What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?

Our team will be available at stand C1028. We hope to meet our clients, leaders, and experts from compounding industry with whom we can discuss business, innovations and development opportunities for coming months.

Grupa Azoty Polyolefins as a new-comer in polyolefins market is joining the AMI Plastics World Expos first time and we are excited to meet and present on global compounders and converters forum.
