Selcuk Aksoy was born in 1967 in Istanbul. He received a M.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering the from the Bosphorus University specializing in materials science, polymer processing, blending and rheology.

He joined Aksoy Plastik, a masterbatch production company established in 1982 by his father, as an engineer while still studying. He served at several positions from production to sales and took over the company management after 1998.

In his 36 years of experience in the plastics industry, he was actively involved in twin screw compounding, reactive extrusion, product and technology development, technical marketing and business development.

Currently, Aksoy Plastik is a producer of specialty additive and colour masterbatches offering its products in the Eurasia region. In 2020, Aksoy Plastik established a joined venture with Spanish Unnox Group for the distribution of the joint portfolio in Turkey, EE, MENA and CIS. He is currently acting as the Global Technical Director for Unnox Group as well.
