Herbold Meckesheim is a leading recycling specialist producing machines and complete lines for processing pure plastic waste from the industry as well as used, mixed and contaminated plastics of various kinds such as PET, polyolefins, post-consumer films, or rigid plastics.

The company belongs to Hillenbrand, Inc., a US-based global industrial group, and is part of the new Recycling Business Unit of Coperion, which offers complete solutions for plastics recycling within the Polymer Division known internationally as an industry and technology leader. The company has more than 240 employees at their headquarters in Meckesheim and additional staff at their international agencies.

Herbold Meckesheim custom-make plants and machinery from the conception stage, through commissioning to the end of their commercial use. Based on many decades of experience, the highly automated plants and washing lines are designed for low energy consumption, ease of maintenance and wear protection.

Herbold’s product range includes shredders, granulators and pulverizers as well as plastcompactors for agglomeration, but especially washing and separation systems with wet shredding, pre-washing units, wet granulators, friction washers, hot washing and hydrocyclone stages, mechanical and thermal dryers, and additionally water processing. The components and modular system solutions are tested in the company's own technical center.
