Exhibitor Interview: Lindor Products

We caught up with Alexa McPherson, the Marketing & Business Development Manager for Lindor Products, as they prepare to showcase their solutions at the Compounding World Expo.

Lindor Products is a leading engineering firm known for its advanced rotary drum processing equipment tailored for various industries, including food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and polymers.

In our conversation, Alexa shares insights on their technology, recent industry trends, and what attendees can expect at their booth during the event.

Can you provide a brief overview of your company and the products/ services you'll be showcasing at the event?

Lindor Products is an engineering firm and manufacturer of mixers and other rotary drum processing equipment for the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and polymer sectors, renowned for our state-of-the-art gentle mixing technique. Within the Polymer industry, Lindor is a leading manufacturer of rotary soaking equipment for crosslinking Semicon, XLPE and EPR.

What recent trends or developments in the industry are you most excited about, and how do your products/ services align with them?

At Lindor, we're particularly excited about the booming demand for high-quality crosslinked polymers driven by the growth in the cable industry, especially for high voltage applications. Cable manufacturers are facing pressure to meet a sharp increase in demand, and they need solutions that are both proven to meet stringent requirements and reliable. Lindor’s rotary drum mixer-soakers for XLPE, EPR, and Semicon are already established as a trusted technology in this space, offering the consistency and performance that manufacturers require to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving market.

Could you share a success story or case study demonstrating how your products/services have benefited a customer?

Lindor delivered a custom heated rotary drum soaker to BUSS AG, a Swiss leader in compounding systems. This rotary drum, installed in BUSS AG’s new compounding line in China, addresses the need for high-purity special compounds by providing precise temperature control and advanced contamination prevention. The drum features Lindor’s gentle mixing technology for protection of particle integrity and easy maintenance features for enhancing operational efficiency. Mr. Hans Hügel from BUSS AG praised Lindor for their state-of-the-art technology and successful five-year (at that time) collaboration, underscoring Lindor’s role in advancing BUSS AG’s global production processes.

Will you be conducting any demonstrations or interactive activities at the event? If so, what can attendees expect?

At our booth (C110), we will run a 10-liter lab model of the rotary soaker equipped with a transparent drum to demonstrate our gentle mixing technique. Visitors will get the opportunity to see the movement of the particles within the drum to get a visual understanding of how Lindor machines achieve an even distribution of soaking solution across the particles and how the gentle nature of our technique wholly protects the integrity of the particles throughout the soaking cycle.

What are your company's goals for the future, and how do you see yourselves contributing to the evolving industry landscape?

At Lindor, our future goals focus on continuing to learn and adapt by closely collaborating with our clients and responding to their evolving needs. We are committed to further developing our solutions and maintaining a high standard of service while providing state-of-the-art equipment. By staying at the forefront of excellence and innovation, we see ourselves as a key contributor to the advancement of polymer processing technology, helping our clients achieve optimal performance in a constantly changing industry landscape.

What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?

We’re most looking forward to meeting new people within the industry and exploring the latest advancements in polymer processing. Compounding World expo is an excellent opportunity for us to connect with potential clients and partners, showcase our unique solutions, and gather insights that can help us continue to improve and adapt our offerings to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
