On the 13-14 of this November, AMI  Plastics Recycling World Expo North America returns to the Huntington Convention Centre in Cleveland, Ohio for two days of learning and networking opportunities.

Alongside an expansive exhibition area, this expo features a speaking theatre that will host talks from leading companies in the plastics recycling space. The comprehensive agenda will cover the latest technological innovations, legislative changes and market drivers in the world of plastics recycling. Attendees will be able to learn about emerging technologies for recycling rigid polyolefins, progress in dissolution recycling, methods for improving recyclate quality and performance, case studies on the inclusion of recyclate in food packaging, and the technical innovation that are optimizing granulation, washing, and filtration in the recycling process. The speaking theater also offers a dedicated training seminar covering the effects of plastic dust and the steps that can be taken to reduce it in recycling facilities.

Throughout the two days, there will also be multiple industry debates that cover key issues in the sector. In the first, the impact of current and proposed legislation on plastics recycling rates will be discussed by representatives from The Recycling Partnership, EFS Plastics, Keller & Heckmann and WM. This macro look at the North American recycling system is then expanded upon in a second debate about the role of public-private sector collaboration in plastics recycling featuring speakers from TerraCycle, Arsenal Capital, and The American Chemistry Council. Finally, representatives from KW Plastics, Accredo Packaging, and Plastic Ingenuity will take to the stage to discuss the design and material choices that can improve the recyclability of plastic packaging

Beyond the theater, attendees can take advantage of extensive networking opportunities in the exhibition hall, enabling them to forge new connections, exchange ideas, and collaborate on projects that drive positive change in the plastics recycling sector.
