Polimer Teknik has produced an ex-proof twin screw extruder line and certified with Atex certificate in accordance with 2014/34/EU directive and II 3G Ex ec IIC T2 norm. All necessary components such as motor, gearbox, torque limiters, heater cartridges, valves, glands etc have been carefully selected and the machine has been produced with a special design. Special sealing components have been used to prevent probable explosive leakages. All potential risks have been avoided with special design and special components.

Polimer Teknik has successfully commissioned a ATEX certificated extruder line poex T35 with screw diameter 35 mm, 37 kW ELIN motor, Zambello gearbox, Mayr smartic EAS safety clutch and maximum speed 500 rpm based on one of its high torque density 16 Nm/cm3.

ATEX certification ensures working in explosive areas safely if the extruder is used as per the recommendations of the producers. aThis extruder was produced for reactive extrusion with the explosive and flammable liquid. We made all our preparations for over 1 year just for this certification with our technical team; with a special design, with special equipments. It was produced for zone 2; it mean the Atex area 3G.
